Aim For A Colorado Skiing Vacation
A skiing vacation is one you won't soon forget! This is why many people go on skiing trips at least once a year (unless they can afford more!). It is a vacation that is both family friendly and individually challenging.
But planning a ski vacation can be a challenge in of itself. How much are plane tickets for a family of four or more? Should I rent a car or take a shuttle? Where can I lodge for cheap-but not too cheap so I don't freeze to death?
Colorado Ski Packages
First off, purchasing a Colorado skiing vacation package is a smart idea. Rather than pay for every item and rental individually, a package deal allows you to pay one fixed price and then enjoy the rest of your vacation on schedule and without worry.
But where in Colorado will you go? Aspen, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Butter Milk, Copper Mountain, Crested Butte, Keystone, Snowmass, Steamboat Springs, Telluride, Vail, and Winterpark are all popular locations in Colorado that offer unique packages for families as well as luxury stays.
For example, a luxury package in Beaver Creek might include a weeklong stay at an elegant lodge with Jacuzzi tubs, fireplaces, and large gourmet kitchens. Typical amenities for a luxury package include yearlong pools, spas, tennis clubs, heated underground parking and many other niceties. These are in addition to a round trip flight, a rental car, and whatever other necessities go with the trip.
Family packages though not as extravagant as the luxury packages still make for very satisfying trips. A family can stay in a comfortable lodge or hotel, usually with two bedrooms and bathrooms, and lift tickets for a vacation total of about 5-7 days. Sometimes family packages let children under 12 travel for free with their parents' full payment.
How much does a ski trip cost? A family package usually runs on average from $2000.00 to $3000.00 per family. If that sounds pricey, don't lose hope. Sometimes if you search carefully you can run into special offers or even last minute vacation packages discounted from 20-50% off the usual price.
Planning your Colorado skiing vacation takes a little bit of effort and patience. But it's worth the time when you run across a good deal and especially after you hit the slopes for the first time.
